The numbers are startling: According to Business Leaders for Michigan’s latest benchmarking, Michigan is ranked 31st of 50 states, down two spots since 2021. Our labor force participation rate is 39th and our educational attainment rank is 37th. But the state’s business roundtable has a plan to change the trajectory. “Compete to Win: Michigan’s Path to Top 10,” lays out recommendations for systemic change to strengthen Michigan’s fundamentals in education, economic development, job creation, infrastructure and population growth.
